Resident in Hospitalfield's New Scriptorium at Arbroath Abbey, working on new text about retreat and privilege.
Hospitalfield is dedicated to contemporary art and ideas, to provide the ‘time’ for artists to develop their work in the quiet surroundings of the Hospitalfield campus in the coastal town of Arbroath.
The New Scriptorium is an artist designed and built structure by Bobby Niven. This little building is a commission that is directly inspired by the history and context of the site. It explores and responds to the social, political and cultural histories of the Abbey and its influence on Scottish History.
