Opera-in-progress at the Royal Opera House, London
I presented History of the Present, an opera-in-progress, at the Royal Opera House, London, as part of my Engender Fellowship. The hybrid opera is about the peaceline in Belfast, where I grew up, it forefronts working-class voices and marginalised lives.
The event featured sound artist Breakwave, dramaturg Jude Christian, soprano Héloïse Werner, samples, occulsions and overdubbing.
The opera will premiere in Spring 2023.
